QUEMPIN's innovative initiative was able to advance among almost 1400 projects from all over Latin America.
The ITBA (Instituto Tecnológico de Buenos Aires), with the support of the MIT Sloan Latin America Office, launched the new 2020 edition of the 100K LATAM competition, with the objective of promoting the development of entrepreneurship in Latin America and the Caribbean. This competition seeks to encourage entrepreneurship with the capacity to generate impact in the region through innovative projects with a technological base.
This year the contest had 1385 registered participants from 16 countries who were evaluated by a multidisciplinary jury composed of 300 experts from the region. The startups chosen to compete in this last instance are from Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Bolivia, Colombia and Chile, being QUEMPIN SpA one of the representatives of the latter.
After challenging online presentations that considered the metrics, rentability and scalability of each venture, QUEMPIN was selected as one of the five finalists of the competition, in the "Launching" category, although unfortunately it only managed to reach this stage, reaching the top 10.
In spite of not winning, it was a great achievement to represent Chile in this great competition and to compete at the same time with exceptional startups in the region.
